About Me
Hi, my name is Michelle! I love math and I love helping other people to better understand math. I've been a math teacher as well as a math specialist in Arlington, Virginia for 15 years and have been a private tutor for the past 20 years. I have taught every level of math grades 6-10 and tutored students from K-12 including AP, IB, and SAT/ACT test prep as well as college math courses.
I believe tutoring should be more than just help with math; it's about building positive relationships with students to help them build confidence. I work with students on organizational skills, study skills, and self-advocacy skills to help them be successful in all subject areas as well as working with families to best support their student both at home and school.
